Lauderhill, FL (December 22, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident that occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the 3500 block of Sunrise Boulevard, near the Lauderhill Swap Shop.
Police are still searching for the motorist who caused the accident. Officers say an SUV driver hit the pedestrian, who was crossing the street at the time of the incident. The victim was declared dead by the first responders a short time later. Authorities asked anybody who has information about the driver of the SUV or the crash to contact Broward Crime Stoppers. No further details were released in the interim, though an investigation remains active.
