Hallandale Beach, FL – Three Hurt in Rollover Accident on I-95
Hallandale Beach, FL (February 6, 2021) – Three people were hurt in a rollover accident that took place on Friday in Hallandale Beach. The crash happened on Interstate 95 near Pembroke Road just before 12:00 p.m.
The Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, along with the Florida Highway Patrol, responded to the crash scene. According to officials, a car was traveling southbound on I-95 when the driver rear-ended a Jeep that was traveling in the same direction. The impact set off a chain-reaction crash, causing the Jeep to strike another vehicle. The third vehicle rolled over from the impact of the collision. The driver of the first car jumped out of their vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
Rescue crews responded to the scene and transported three occupants of the Jeep, including a child, to a local hospital. All three victims are believed to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police are still looking for the driver of the first vehicle. Traffic was backed up near the scene and drivers were urged to find alternate routes of travel.
