Ft Lauderdale, FL – Woman Hit & Killed By Bus on Federal Hwy
Fort Lauderdale, FL (October 23, 2023) – A deadly accident involving a Broward County Transit bus and a pedestrian is being looked into by the Traffic Homicide Unit of the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Fort Lauderdale police said that at about 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, they received reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian in the vicinity of 6400 North Federal Highway. One woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to early investigations, the bus was heading north on North Federal Highway when it struck the woman.
The bus driver stayed at the site, and alcohol and speed weren’t suspected as contributing causes. However, the probe is still in progress.
