Delray Beach, FL – Two Injured in Serious Accident on Congress Ave near SW 10th St
Delray Beach, FL (June 15, 2021) – A serious auto accident happened in Delray Beach on the evening of Saturday, June 12. Two people sustained injuries in the accident that occurred at the intersection of Congress Avenue and Southwest 10th Street.
According to officials, a Hyundai was traveling north on Congress while a Mercedes was headed south. The Mercedes tried to go east on Southwest 10th street when it was involved in a collision with the Hyundai.
During the crash, the Mercedes collided with a concrete pole, according to information from various sources. The damage to the Hyundai was so severe that the engine and transmission were separated from the vehicle. They both ended up in the middle of the roadway.
Both involved drivers suffered serious injuries. They were both transported from the scene to local hospitals for treatment as needed. Their names have not been released at this time.
Police continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
