Deerfield Beach, FL – One Killed, Two Hurt in Truck Collision on 10th St

Deerfield Beach, FL (December 15, 2023) – Reports indicate that, earlier this week near Deerfield Beach, a fatal accident occurred involving a vehicle and an 18-wheeler truck, and authorities have now provided further details in connection with the incident.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred at the intersection of Southwest 10th Street and Powerline Road at around 4:25 a.m. Upon arrival, paramedics pronounced the driver of the passenger vehicle deceased. The driver of the 18-wheeler vehicle, which was seen on video with Wawa branding, was sent to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Officials now state that a third vehicle was also involved in the accident, per deputies, although it was a secondary collision. The driver sustained only minor injuries, however. An investigation is still ongoing in the interim, and it’s unclear if citations or charges are pending.
