Car Crashes in Florida

A car accident in Florida can certainly cause devastating consequences for victims. According to statistics maintained by NHTSA, a reportable crash in our state takes place every 90 seconds. This number may be surprising to many people who are not aware of the frequency with which car accidents take place across our state. While no one ever expects to be involved in a crash, this number underscores the dangers faced by motorists on our roadways each day. Given the prevalence of negligent drivers in our state, it is important to drive safely and cautiously at all times in order to reduce the risk of being involved in a crash.

While many Florida car accidents are preventable, not all of them can be eliminated. Despite taking all safety precautions, sometimes accidents will happen because of the actions of other motorists. These crashes are unavoidable and can lead to injuries for innocent victims. Following a Florida car accident, you are likely to have many questions and you may wonder if you have the right to hold the negligent driver accountable for their actions.

Under Florida law, if you or a family member were hurt in a crash, you could be entitled to compensation. This includes payment of your expenses associated with the crash, such as medical bills and lost wages. Additionally, you are entitled to recover from the pain and suffering caused by the accident. In some cases, this amount can be substantial. Recovering the full amount to which you are entitled requires utilizing the services of an attorney with experience handling difficult accident claims.

When you have been hurt by a negligent driver, you should not have to be responsible for the results of the crash. Our team at Boone & Davis Law stands ready to assist you at any time.
