Boynton Beach, FL – Two Killed, Two Injured in Accident on La Chalet Blvd & Military Trail
Boynton Beach, FL (August 3, 2021) – Two people lost their lives and two others were injured after an accident near Boynton Beach on the evening of Saturday, July 31, according to information from various officials.
The incident was reported to authorities in the area at around 7:44 p.m. It occurred at the intersection of La Chalet Boulevard and Military Trail. A man identified as 53-year-old Edward Floyd of Boynton Beach was traveling south on Military Trail in his 1997 Mercury Sable. He was approaching La Chalet Boulevard when a 90-year-old Boynton Beach resident traveling in a 2018 Nissan Altima headed north on Military Trail turned left in front of the Mercury.
The Nissan was carrying two female passengers, age 81 and 82, in the backseat at the time of the accident. They were both ejected from the vehicle due to the collision. One was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical professionals.
The other woman was transported to an area hospital where she later lost her life. Those involved have not been identified at this time.
The driver and a 93-year-old male passenger present in the Altima at the time of the wreck were transported to Delray Medical Center in serious condition.
