Pedestrian Fatalities in Boca Raton
When a pedestrian dies in an auto accident, there are many things that need to be done quickly if the family plans on seeking financial compensation for the wrongful death. With Florida’s no-fault car insurance regulations, claims can’t be immediately filed against the at-fault driver.
Before the wrongful death claim is filed, proof that demonstrates the other driver’s liability has to be collected. This is most often accomplished done by re-creating the scene of the incident, obtaining eyewitness statements, evaluating the at-fault driver’s record, and reviewing any available traffic camera footage.
If you recently lost a loved one to wrongful death in Florida, the law entitles the personal representative of their estate, typically a surviving parent, child, or spouse, to file a wrongful death suit in state court for financial compensation for monetary damages.
