Boca Raton, FL – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on Lyons Rd

Boca Raton, FL (January 14, 2024) – One person was killed on Sunday evening in Coconut Creek in the greater Boca Raton area, according to authorities.

The incident occurred while the victim was crossing Lyons Road at around 6:30 p.m. Officials added that the motorist fled the scene shortly after the victim was hit. Despite life-saving measures attempted by medical techs, the victim was pronounced dead at the site of the crash.  No details about the victim’s age or identification were immediately available, but an inquiry into the wreck is ongoing.
