Car Accidents in Florida

According to statistics maintained by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there are approximately 400,000 reported car accidents in Florida every year. This number translates into a reportable crash occurring about once every 92 seconds. From these crashes, about 250,000 people will sustain injuries. While these numbers may seem high, they underscore the dangers that are faced by motorists on our roadways. While no one ever expects to be involved in an injury accident, the reality is that innocent motorists are injured each day in crashes across our state. Many of these injured victims are hurt when they come into contact with a negligent driver.

Being involved in a Florida car accident can be a very catastrophic event for victims and their families. While not all crashes involve injuries, many of them do and they can be very serious in nature. Some common injuries sustained by car accident victims include head trauma, spinal cord injuries, soft tissue injuries, scars, disfigurement, and more. These injuries can be long-lasting and require complicated and extensive medical care. Further, the injuries suffered in an accident can change your quality of life for the worse if you are unable to enjoy the activities that you enjoyed before the crash. For these reasons, it is important to make sure that you receive the compensation you deserve when you have been hurt in an accident.
