Broward County, FL – Injury Crash on Florida’s Turnpike

2.17 Miami, FL - Juan Ayala Killed by Falling Beam 

Broward County, FL (December 11, 2020) – An injury crash occurred on a roadway in Broward County that required an emergency dispatch this afternoon, December 11.

According to police, the accident occurred on Florida’s Turnpike in the northbound lanes after Hollywood. The contributing factors of the collision have not been reported at this time,

Paramedics and other first responders were observed at the crash site rendering aid to those who were injured in the accident. However, information around the total number of injured accident victims has not been made available to the public at this time.

The identities of anyone involved in the collision have not been released. Nor has any information pertaining to the nature and magnitude of the injuries suffered in the crash.

Multiple lanes of the Turnpike were blocked for a period of time following the incident, according to the Florida Highway Patro. Drivers in the area were asked to be patient and to steer clear of the crash site.

No further information has been provided concerning the crash and its surrounding circumstances. An investigation into the details of the crash is currently underway.
