What should I do if my car was towed from the scene of an accident?

Transcript

If your car was towed from the scene, it’s probably sitting in a tow yard. It’s important to know that every single day that your car sits there, it is incurring a storage charge. Some insurance companies will pay a reasonable storage charge, but there are a variety of reasons why vehicles are not inspected in a reasonable time and many insurance companies refuse to pay the full charge for storage. If your car isn’t examined or inspected within a reasonable time, make the effort to remove your vehicle from the tow yard so that you don’t become responsible for an unreasonable charge for storage costs.
