What duties do business owners have to have security cameras?

Transcript

No business is required to have security cameras under Florida Law. However, all landowners are required to maintain their property, in a reasonably safe manner. If there have been crimes on the property in the past, a jury could determine that the landowner should have had surveillance cameras, as that sometimes prevents people from committing crimes on the property. Although there’s no specific law, a jury can determine that it was negligence for the landowner not to have security cameras.
