Pompano Beach, FL – Man Killed in Drawbridge Accident on 14th St
Pompano Beach, FL (March 16, 2024) – A man died after falling in a drawbridge accident that occurred in Pompano Beach Saturday afternoon, the Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
The bridge at 3000 Northeast 14th Street was stuck in the up position and closed in both directions while BSO’s detectives investigated, BSO said in a tweet a little after 5:00 p.m. Deputies had not provided further details on the incident or if conditions at the bridge resulted in the incident. An investigation is still ongoing in the interim.
