Miami, FL - One Killed, Two Hurt in Wreck on I-75

Miami, FL (March 25, 2024) – A driver was killed, and a 23-year-old Bradenton woman was critically injured in a crash on Interstate 75 in Manatee County early Sunday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The wreck happened on I-75 southbound, not far from the southbound lanes of Interstate 275. The apparent wrong-way collision involved at least three vehicles, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene. One Bradenton woman was flown to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Her passenger, a 42-year-old Bradenton man, had minor injuries, FHP said. An investigation of the crash continued on Sunday.

We extend our deepest condolences to the deceased victim’s family. Our thoughts and best wishes for a full recovery go out to the injured victims.
