Miami, FL – Man Hospitalized After Accident at Haulover Park Marina on Collins

Miami, FL (January 25, 2024) – On Tuesday night, divers were dispatched to a marina in Haulover Park in response to reports that a man in an electric wheelchair fell into the water.

Authorities believe the man’s fall into the water resulted from an unknown accident. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Collins Avenue and 108th Street. According to the inquiry, Miami-Dade investigators and Marine Patrol officers responded and ultimately extracted the man from the water. Rescue personnel were observed performing life-saving maneuvers on the man, who was subsequently transported to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital for medical attention, though an investigation is ongoing.
