Miami, FL - House Fire w/Injuries on Second St Under Inquiry

Miami, FL (April 5, 2024) – The State Fire Marshal is investigating after a fire erupted Thursday at a two-story home in Dania Beach.

According to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Michael B. Kane, the fire was reported around 6:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Northeast Second Street. Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters encountered black smoke and flames emerging from a second-floor window. It took about 35 firefighters to extinguish the flames within 30 minutes. No serious injuries were reported, though at least two people were assessed and transported to a local hospital. The cause of the fire remains unclear and is under investigation.
