Miami, FL – Bicyclist Injured After Being Hit by Car at SW 19th Ave & SW 18th St

Miami, FL - Police Respond to Injury Crash on NW 17th Street

Miami, FL (March 26, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after they were hit by a car at an intersection in Coral Way on the evening of March 26. At approximately 6:41 p.m., police and EMTs were sent to assist the injured victim. 

Reports indicate that the accident took place at the intersection of Southwest 19th Avenue and Southwest 18th Street for currently unknown reasons. A GMC Yukon hit a person on a bicycle in the roadway, prompting an emergency response from local rescue crews. 

The injured party was rendered aid at the crash scene. They were then transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries they sustained in the collision. Their identity has not been made public at this time. 

Police in Coral Way continue to investigate the circumstances of the wreck. Traffic was delayed in the area for some time after the accident took place.
