Miami, FL – 5 Hurt when Car Crashes into Seafood Restaurant on Fifth St.
Miami, FL (July 24, 2021) – Five people suffered injuries after a driver crashed into a busy seafood restaurant on Friday evening in Miami. The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Northwest Fifth Street near the intersection with 37th Avenue.
According to a report from investigators, a black sedan entered the side parking lot of Don Camaron Seafood Grill and Market. The driver sideswiped a parked vehicle before crashing into the restaurant building. The car made contact with several customers and ultimately left a restaurant employee pinned against a wall. A total of five people were transported to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. All of the victims are expected to survive their injuries.
Following an investigation, it was determined that the sedan driver suffered a medical emergency prior o the crash, causing them to lose control of the vehicle. Police do not anticipate any charges being filed.
