Lake Worth Beach, FL – Man Hospitalized After Crash with Semi on I-95 at 6th Ave
Lake Worth Beach, FL (February 5, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a semi-truck sent one man to the hospital this past Thursday, February 4. Responders with the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue as well as police officers responded to the scene of the crash that occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at 6th Avenue.
The man, identified as a 64-year-old Loxahatchee resident, sustained serious injuries in the crash that took place at approximately 7:40 p.m. He required extrication from his minivan by fire crews. He was then transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious, yet non-life-threatening injuries.
According to reports, a semi-truck jackknifed, causing the crash. All northbound lanes of I-95 were closed while responders worked to clear the scene. Two others involved in the crash, identified as a 43-year-old man from Pompano Beach and a 64-year-old man from Palm Harbor, sustained only minor injuries in the accident.
The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
