Is there a difference between uninsured motorist coverage and underinsured motorist coverage?

Transcript

There is a difference between uninsured motorist coverage and underinsured motorist coverage but basically they are the same. The slight difference is an uninsured motorist claim means that the person that caused the accident had no insurance at all as opposed to an underinsured motorist claim means the at fault driver had some insurance but not enough to pay the full value of your claim.
