Hallandale Beach, FL - Woman Hospitalized in 9th Ave Drowning

Hallandale Beach, FL (October 30, 2023) – Rescuers responded quickly to reports of a person drifting in a lake on Monday, October 30, in the Hallandale Beach area.

On Monday afternoon, Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue responded to a complaint of a near-drowning at 211 SW 9th Avenue.

Firefighters had just pulled a woman from the water and were administering CPR as helicopters circled above.

The woman was sent to Aventura Hospital for medical attention. Authorities did not provide details about how the incident happened, but an investigation into the cause of the drowning remains ongoing in the meantime.
