Gifford, FL – 41-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Car Crash on 58th Avenue
Gifford, FL (March 28, 2021) – A 41-year-old man was killed in a two-car accident that took place in Gifford on Saturday, March 27th. The collision occurred on 58th Avenue, near the intersection with 49th Street.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the accident scene. According to a report, a 41-year-old man was traveling northbound on 58th Avenue in an SUV. At the same time, a 74-year-old woman was operating a sedan eastbound on 49th Street. The woman came to a stop sign at the intersection but failed to stop. As she entered the intersection, she collided with the left side of the SUV.
The SUV overturned and ejected the male driver. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene. His identity has not been released at this time. There is no word on whether the 74-year-old woman was injured in the crash. The accident remains under investigation at this time. There is no word on any potential charges stemming from the collision.
