Doral, FL – Two Hurt in Wrong-Way Turnpike Crash
Doral, FL (March 14, 2021) – Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash on the Florida’s Turnpike in Doral on Sunday morning. The collision happened near the on-ramp for Northwest 41st Street.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a total of three vehicles were involved in the accident. Troopers say a white pickup truck was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike when the vehicle collided with an SUV that was traveling northbound. The SUV was then pushed into a second SUV. The driver of the second SUV was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The drivers of the pickup and the first SUV sustained more serious injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The identities of those involved in the accident have not been released at this time.
Troopers have not released any information on the cause of the accident. An investigation is ongoing.
