Port St. Lucie, FL – Teen Injured in Boat Crash at Capt Hiram Resort

Port St. Lucie, FL - Teen Injured in Boat Crash at Capt Hiram Resort

Port St. Lucie, FL (April 1, 2024) – A boat crash left one teen in the hospital on Saturday after the incident occurred near the Sebastian area.

According to Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, a 16-year-old female and a 17-year-old male were on a 13–15-foot vessel near the Captain Hiram Resort. The boat was impacted by a wake from another vessel, ejecting one of the teens onboard into the water. One of the victims was airlifted to the hospital, and the other was assessed at the scene by EMTs. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is leading the investigation.

We extend our thoughts to the injured victims in hopes of their full recovery.
