Palm Beach Gardens, FL – Man Killed in Motorcycle Wreck on I-95 at Donald Ross

Palm Beach Gardens, FL - Man Killed in Motorcycle Wreck on I-95 at Donald Ross

Palm Beach Gardens, FL (March 4, 2024) – Drivers on Interstate 95 northbound in northern Palm Beach County faced significant delays Monday afternoon following a fatal crash that involved a motorcycle and a Florida Department of Transportation vehicle. The wreck was reported at 12:45 p.m. just south of the Donald Ross Road exit, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The FHP said the FDOT Severe Incident Response Vehicle was traveling northbound in the inside center travel lane. A 1980 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 41-year-old man from West Palm Beach, was also traveling northbound in the inside travel lane. The FHP said the 69-year-old driver of the FDOT vehicle didn’t see the motorcyclist and began a left turn to travel onto a designated turnaround in the interstate median. After the impact, the motorcyclist was ejected as the Harley Davidson went underneath the FDOT vehicle. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the FDOT truck was not hurt, per the crash report. However, troopers with FHP said they are still investigating the wreck in the meantime.

Our deepest condolences are with the deceased man’s family.
