Okeechobee, FL - Fatal Auto Crash Takes Two Lives on NW 192nd Ave near NW 254th St

Okeechobee, FL (June 21, 2021) – Two people have lost their lives after their involvement in a car accident in Okeechobee that occurred on Saturday, June 19. The victims included a 7-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man. 

Information from officials shows that the incident occurred on Northwest 192nd Avenue near Northwest 254th Street. The collision involved three vehicles, according to reports. 

The vehicles involved included two pickup trucks and an SUV. A pickup truck headed north on 192nd Avenue struck the side of a trailer that was being hauled by an SUV that was headed south. 

The pickup truck then collided with the front end of a second pickup truck that was behind the SUV. The second pickup flipped onto its roof, taking the lives of the man and the young boy. 

Both victims were residents of Okeechobee. Their names have not been disclosed at this time. 

The occupants of the first pickup truck, a 21-year-old male and an 18-year-old female, are currently hospitalized with critical injuries. 

Two adults and three young children were in the SUV at the time of the crash. None of them were hurt. 

Police in Okeechobee continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
