Miami, FL (February 15, 2024) – A 66-year-old woman on a bicycle was killed in an e-bike collision on Wednesday night, per local authorities. The deadly collision occurred at the junction of Hampton Lane and Woodcrest Road just after 7:00 p.m., and Miami-Dade police responded. The driver of the e-bike was a 12-year-old child riding northbound with his mother when he collided with the victim, who was on a bicycle.

After being transported by Key Biscayne Fire Rescue personnel to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the woman was declared deceased. It’s unclear if the child or his mother were hurt. The MDPD was still looking into the collision as of Thursday afternoon.
