Miami, FL - Woman Hospitalized in Dog Attack on 45th St

Miami, FL (March 14, 2024) – A Miami woman is hospitalized in a West Palm Beach facility on Wednesday evening after being allegedly attacked by a pit bull while walking her dog, according to police.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., the incident occurred in the 2100 block of 45th Street, when the victim was reportedly confronted by an unleashed dog. The dog then attacked her and pushed her to the ground. The woman was transported with “severe bite wounds to both arms” to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where she underwent surgery. She remains hospitalized as she continues to recover. An investigation is ongoing in the interim.

We extend our thoughts and best wishes for the injured woman’s full recovery.
