Pool2

Miami, FL (November 17, 2023) – Local law enforcement officers were called to the scene of the fatal drowning at a residence in Palmetto Bay on Sunday, November 12th at about 10:00 a.m. Police responded to a home on Southwest 170th Terrace after receiving reports of a  2-year-old boy involved in a drowning.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive toddler who had just been pulled from the pool. During this time, the boy was able to make his way out of an enclosed area and fall into the pool.

Police were able to perform CPR on the small boy. He was then med-flighted to Florida Kendall Hospital where he was dead on arrival.
