Miami, FL – Three Hurt in Boating Accident in Biscayne Bay

Miami, FL - Three Hurt in Boating Accident in Biscayne Bay

Miami, FL (September 26, 2023) – According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, three persons were injured in a boating accident in Biscayne Bay on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident occurred in the seas to the east of Cutler Bay.

At about 2:30 p.m., news footage showed the scene while marine officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department administered CPR to one of the victims.

All three casualties were subsequently evacuated to local hospitals after being placed aboard an MDFR boat and transported to Black Point Marina. After being towed back to the dock by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the boat’s damaged interior was also exposed.

While the exact cause of the incident is yet unknown, it seems that no other vessels were damaged. An investigation is ongoing.

Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones.
