Miami, FL – Three Hospitalized After Black Point Marina Boat Crash

Miami, FL - Three Hospitalized After Black Point Marina Boat Crash

Miami, FL (October 19, 2023) – Three passengers were hurt after a boat capsized at Black Point Marina in South Miami-Dade, and authorities have since released further details in connection with the incident.

Rescuers rushed to the scene on Wednesday afternoon after fielding reports of individuals on board the sinking boat, which also prompted the response of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

The victims who made it into the water were helped by several Good Samaritans before officials arrived.

News footage showed rescue workers hoisting a man from the sea as he held on to a cooler. Two persons were reportedly flown to the hospital by helicopter as trauma alerts, as reported by MDFR. The third party’s condition is currently unknown.

Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their families.
