Miami, FL – Pedestrian Hospitalized After Crash on Fifth Ct

West Palm Beach, FL - Pedestrian Fatality on Okeechobee Blvd

Miami, FL (September 4, 2023) – A Miami woman was seriously injured when a car struck her over the weekend, according to local officials.

The accident occurred on Saturday in the Little Haiti section of Miami, in the 6100 block of Northwest Fifth Court, close to Miami Edison Senior High School.

The woman, who uses a wheelchair and was in her wheelchair at the time of the incident, was severely hurt when a motorist struck her when she was on her way to a neighboring store. Family members said the woman remained in the hospital on Monday due to a fractured leg, back, and head injuries.

The family has offered a reward of $1,000 for information leading to the driver’s arrest. Local officers also asked witnesses to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers with additional information.

Our thoughts go out to the injured woman and her family at this time.
