Miami, FL – One Hospitalized in Chopper Crash Near Key Biscayne

Miami, FL - One Hospitalized in Chopper Crash Near Key Biscayne

Miami, FL (April 7, 2024) – A helicopter crashed near Miami on Saturday afternoon, and one person was rescued from the scene before being transported to the hospital.

At about 1:50 p.m., the chopper crashed close to Key Biscayne. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) claims that the pilot reported engine issues with the Robinson R-44 just before the incident. EMTs transported one person from the scene, though it’s unclear how many people were onboard the craft. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are looking into what caused the crash and have not released further details.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their loved ones. We hope for their full recovery.
