Miami, FL (December 1, 2023) – In the vicinity of the 836 Expressway and 27th Avenue in Miami, a hit-and-run crash resulted in substantial traffic disruptions that lasted for around three hours and caused one person’s injuries.
At approximately 4:40 a.m., police reported that a two-vehicle hit-and-run collision occurred at the intersection of Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest 11th Street. A red Toyota traveling southbound on 27th Avenue and a black Chevrolet SUV traveling northbound were involved in the collision. The black SUV continued nearly to Northwest 14th Street after the intersection collision, where the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The driver of the red Toyota was airlifted to the hospital with severe injuries and is still being treated, though he is expected to recover. Law enforcement is conducting an intensive investigation into the incident, but the Chevrolet SUV’s driver remains at large.
Our thoughts go out to the injured victim and his loved ones.
