Miami, FL – Man Hit & Killed in Train Accident on 27th Ave

Miami, FL (March 31, 2024) – According to authorities, a man in Opa-locka died on Sunday after being hit by an Amtrak train.

Around lunchtime, there were reports of an incident between Northwest 27th Avenue and Ali Baba Avenue, prompting police to respond. Officers discovered the victim on the south side of the lines, just east of the crossroads, when they arrived. Traffic on Northwest 27th Avenue was blocked both north and south while Miami-Dade Police detectives were on the scene, though the man’s identity and the events leading to the accident are unknown.
