Miami, FL – Injuries Reported in House Collapse on NW 3rd St

Miami, FL - Injuries Reported in House Collapse on NW 3rd St

Miami, FL (November 18, 2023) – The early Thursday collapse of a vacant property in Miami sent rubble through the top of one residence, causing a handful of injuries and displacing two families.

The location of the incident in Miami’s Little Havana area is 1790 Northwest 3rd Street. The abandoned four-plex reportedly collapsed at around 3:00 a.m., sending debris flying, as reported by Miami Fire Rescue. The family who lived next door and behind the complex managed to escape, though EMTs evaluated several people for unknown injuries at the scene. Investigators sent in cadaver dogs and bulldozers to clear rubble and search for anybody who could have been inside when it collapsed, but an inquiry into the incident is ongoing.

Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their family members at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
