Miami, FL (September 23, 2023) – On Saturday afternoon, September 23, at least two cars were involved in a collision that backed up traffic for about an hour and resulted in victim injuries.

The crash occurred along 1301 Opa Locka Boulevard around 12:30 p.m., as recorded by the Miami Police Department’s dispatch center. Two vehicles were first reported to have crashed in the left lanes, according to initial accounts from officials.

Shortly after the wreck occurred, local police enforcement and EMS personnel arrived on the scene and started their investigation and injury evaluations without making any victim identifications public.

Miami-Dade County officials are currently investigating the incident’s root cause.
