Miami, FL – Bicyclist Injured in Crash at Sistrunk Blvd & NW 27th Ave
Miami, FL (May 20, 2021) – A police chase ended in a collision on Wednesday, May 19, in Broward County. A stolen SUV ended up flipped onto its roof on Interstate 95 in Hollywood.
Four juveniles were inside the stolen SUV at the time of the crash. They were identified as two 16-year-olds, one 14-year-old, and one 12-year-old. During the police chase, the SUV struck a male bicyclist at the intersection of Sistrunk Boulevard and Northwest 27th Avenue.
The bicyclist, who was identified as 34-year-old Michael Evans, was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale. His injuries were deemed to be serious but non-life-threatening.
