Miami Beach, FL – Woman Hospitalized after Crash with Bicyclist on 12th St near Ocean Dr
Miami Beach, FL (August 6, 2021 ) – A woman was hospitalized in Miami Beach after she was hit by a teenager on a bicycle on Wednesday, August 4. The incident was reported to officials in the area at around 7:26 p.m.
According to reports, the wreck occurred in the vicinity of 12th Street and Ocean Drive for reasons still under police investigation. Authorities stated that the woman was hit when a 15-year-old bicyclist was attempting a stunt.
The victim was transported to Mount Saini Hospital shortly after the wreck took place. She is expected to make a full recovery.
The teen initially stopped to render aid but then fled the scene with a group of other bicyclists. Police were able to locate the teen near 12th and Euclid Avenue.
Charges are pending against the teen due to the collision and resulting injuries. Nothing further has been reported at this time.
