Fatal Hit-and-Run Accidents in Florida

Hit-and-run accidents in Florida are becoming an increasingly dangerous problem for motorists. According to the most recent statistics, there were more than 100,000 hit-and-run crashes reported in our state in 2019. This number accounts for approximately 20% of all total traffic accidents. Many hit-and-run accidents are very serious in nature and involve injuries and even death for the victims. Although the law requires drivers to remain at the crash scene after an injury accident, many of them choose to flee in an effort to avoid responsibility for their actions.

Hit-and-run accidents can be very frustrating for family members, especially when a loved one is killed at the hands of a negligent driver. Accident victims and their loved ones often wonder what legal rights they may have when they are affected by these crashes. Under Florida law, if you or a loved one have been injured in an accident you could be entitled to compensation. While hit-and-run crashes can present complicated scenarios, an experienced attorney can make sure that you are able to obtain a recovery.
