Car Crashes in Florida

Motor vehicles are a common part of everyday life for the majority of us. Whether you catch a ride to work, own your own vehicle, or travel as a pedestrian, motor vehicles are a common part of daily life for most of us. Often utilized for transporting goods and people and other necessary services, Americans have heavily integrated vehicles into their daily lives. Unfortunately, traffic accidents that result in injuries and even death can occur if drivers do not exercise extreme care and caution while behind the wheel.

Driver negligence is the cause of nearly 100% of the traffic accidents that occur in the United States today. This statistic is highly concerning and reveals just how problematic and common these types of crashes are. Whether an accident takes place due to driver distraction, fatigued driving, or driver intoxication, a crash caused by negligence often causes serious injuries or even fatalities. This may leave you and your family in a painful and unexpected predicament.

Almost every American knows someone who has been involved in a crash or has been involved in one, or more than one, themselves. Especially if you live in Florida, where the auto accident rate is higher than almost any other state in the nation. According to information provided by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, in Miami-Dade County, a reportable auto collision occurs about once every 8 minutes. On average, approximately 85 people sustain injuries every day due to Miami car crashes.

A Florida car accident can be an expensive, complicated, and tragic event. Your vehicle may be totaled, your medical bills are stacking up, all while you may be confined to bed due to your injuries or simply unable to work or live your life the way you once could.
