Lantana, FL – Two Hurt in Boat Fire at Loggerhead Marina

Lantana, FL (September 4, 2023) – Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to a boat fire on Sunday at the Loggerhead Marina in Lantana.

The agency was called to a yacht fire in the 800 block of East Windward Way, close to the Intracoastal, at around 3:15 p.m. on Monday afternoon. A 40-foot boat was discovered with extensive damage in the midst of a slip.

Two persons were able to evacuate the vessel thanks to the smoke alarms and were later brought to local hospitals. Firefighters were dispatched and extinguished the blaze in the meantime.

An investigation into the fire is still ongoing.
