Jupiter, FL – Man Killed, Three Hurt in Electrocution at Harbourside Pl

Jupiter, FL - Man Killed, Three Hurt in Electrocution at Harbourside Pl

Jupiter, FL (October 24, 2023) – On Sunday at Harbourside Place in Jupiter, a father of four was electrocuted while trying to rescue his two youngest children from a malfunctioning splash pad and fountain.

The man and his three children were playing in the splash pad at Harbourside Place on Sunday afternoon when authorities say an apparent malfunction occurred with the splash pad due to a nearby stage and wiring.

The man rushed in and pulled his two sons out of the fountain, and all three were electrocuted in the process. The man and another adult, in addition to his eight- and eleven-year-old boys, were among the four people taken by ambulance to the nearest trauma hospital.

The children remain hospitalized, but the man was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival at the hospital.

Officials are still conducting an investigation and have not said what ultimately led to the accident.

We extend our deepest condolences to the deceased man’s loved ones. Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their family in hopes of their full recovery.
