Hollywood, FL - Two Hurt in DUI Accident on Grandis Heights Cir

Hollywood, FL (September 25, 2023) – An Elberton man was arrested for DUI after causing a crash on the weekend in northern Hollywood.

The incident occurred at about 7:30 p.m., north of Grandis Heights Circle in Hollywood.

A Toyota Camry traveling southbound reportedly flipped over, crossing the median and the northbound lanes before coming to rest on top of a railing on the north shoulder of the highway. Several units from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office and the Miami-Dade County Emergency Services responded to the accident.

Two people were injured in the collision, and an ambulance took them to a local hospital. While the car was being extracted from the barrier, northbound traffic was delayed.

One of those involved was charged with DUI, though an investigation remains ongoing.

Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their families.
