Ft Lauderdale, FL – Man Killed in Car Accident on I-95 at Broward

Ft Lauderdale, FL - Man Killed in Car Accident on I-95 at Broward

Fort Lauderdale, FL (October 21, 2023) – After being closed for several hours due to a fatal accident, the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Fort Lauderdale are now open again.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that the accident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

One man was declared deceased at the site by firefighters from Fort Lauderdale. There were no further known casualties, though the total number of people involved in the wreck is still unknown.

State police officers spent hours in the area investigating what happened before reopening southbound I-95 near Broward Boulevard. The victim, a male in his twenties from Miramar, was not identified in the meantime.

Our sincere condolences are with the deceased man’s loved ones. Our thoughts go out to any injured victims and their families.
