Doral, FL – Several Hurt in Eight-Vehicle Collision on SR 826

Doral, FL (October 1, 2023) – On Sunday morning, traffic on State Road 826 was impacted when an officer with the Miami-Dade Police Department was involved in a collision involving eight vehicles.

On the southbound fast lanes of the Palmetto Expressway near Northwest 58th Street, just after 6:00 a.m., an unmarked police car was rear-ended, according to police scanners.

Officials from the Miami-Dade Police Department said that one female officer was taken to the hospital, where her condition was reported to be stable.

Several cops from the Miami-Dade Police Department and the Florida Highway Patrol could be seen on the livestream. The live stream also revealed five smashed vehicles on the main highway lane and two wrecked vehicles parked behind the unmarked truck.

The Miami-Dade Police Department is still investigating in the meantime.
