Davie, FL – One Person Loses Life in Fatal Crash Caused by Drag Racers
Davie, FL (December 4, 2020) – On the evening of December 4, a driver’s life was taken when his vehicle was struck by another car that was participating in a drag race in Davie.
The fatal collision occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, December 4 on Stirling Road near Northwest 77th Street. The person who lost their life in the crash was turning onto Stirling from 77th when their vehicle, a gray Kia Soul, was struck by a red Mustang, according to a local news source.
The Kia’s driver, who has not been identified to the public at this time, died at the scene of the accident. They were pronounced deceased by responding medical professionals. The Mustang’s driver was transported to a nearby medical center with arm injuries.
No other injuries were reported to have resulted from the vehicle collision. The eastbound lanes of Stirling Road at the intersection with Northwest 77th Street were closed for a period of time following the incident in order to allow first responders to work safely at the crash scene.
