Broward County, FL - Major Accident on I-95 N near Exit 29A

Broward County, FL (January 28, 2021) – At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, a major auto collision occurred on an interstate in Broward County. Police and EMTs were dispatched to the scene shortly after it occurred in order to render aid to injured parties. 

Reportedly, the incident took place on Interstate 95 near exit 29A, State Road 838/Sunrise Boulevard East. At least two vehicles were involved in a collision on the interstate that caused injuries to those involved. 

Paramedics were observed assisting injured victims at the crash scene while police investigated the cause of the incident. Parties who sustained serious injuries in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance in order to receive treatment. 

Four left lanes of I-95 were blocked while emergency responders worked at the crash scene. Traffic was backed up in the area for several hours and drivers were asked to use alternate routes.
