Broward Co, FL – Two-Car Wreck, Injuries on FL Trnpke at Miramar Pkwy

Broward Co, FL - Two-Car Wreck, Injuries on FL Trnpke at Miramar Pkwy

Broward County, FL (September 7, 2023) – On Tuesday, traffic was backed up for miles in Broward County when a pickup truck and a commercial vehicle crashed in the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike.

At about 10:20 a.m., all lanes north of Miramar Parkway were blocked by fire rescue and Florida Highway Patrol officials responding to the collision.

Around noon, two lanes were still closed due to the accident, but the right lane was clear. Paramedics also reported to the scene to assess injured victims, though it’s unclear how many people were transported to local medical centers.

An inquiry into the cause of the wreck is active during the meantime, and no further details were released.

Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their families.
